My God people, what is it with this noise problem? Having driven all electric cars, I can tell you they make much less noise then the cars you are use to driving. As stated by one of the other fans, I can guarantee that they had the microphone outside of the car to give you some noise, so you would feel like the car was moving. Do not worry about noise, it will be better than anything you are driving now. Price wise they are saying around 42000.00 but you will also be able to take a 7500.00 rebate from that figure, so you will be paying around 35,000.00 for the car. But as they build more and more of them, the price will come down.

Yeah, it's noisy, but it looks to me like they intentionally had the mics & video outside of the car, so it was evident the tires were being truly stressed, not simply a high speed video of a slower run. I doubt that is a realistic noise level for the common driver, especially with the windows up and/or AC on. I think it was a very cool demonstration. However, I would prefer an occasional view of the speedo during the run.

Hey 'bones"Swan ! pay atention ! GM spent so far almost one billion dolars of YOUR money(remmember, GM is broken.US goverment pus an assombrous montant of money on GM only for contains the unemployment). So after almost a billion of your money wasted in this car, how much you imagine this car will cost ? The development of Chevrolet Cruze, that will be available here in Brazil before in US will cost here around 80.000 reais ( circa 42.000 dolars, here), but in US the price range will be 20~25K. GM spent around 250 million dolars to develope Cruze, that will the world class model, and GM bets in this car your salvation.Handred of towsands will be sold in order to pay back ! How many the Volts will be cost ? By the most real projections i read, around 230K !

I am intrigued with the comception of an electric car that can be "plugged in" at home. All my driving is local-presently averaged less than 2000 miles per year with my 2007 G6 Pontiac. This Volt seems to be ideal for people like myself. Where Can I drive one? I would like to volunteer myself as a test driver for this vehicle! How do I follow up on this thought?

This car is so noise. i wouldnt buy it, unless its noise proof, to where i cant here anything thats going on outside. like the noise of the tires rolling an hitting a pot hole or bump anything like. just not worth in my future car buying. CHEVY FIX that issue and have happier car owners

YEAH thats what I like to see, the car looks much more composed than other "eco-friendly" cars. I know I am probably the minority here but I am going to track my volt a few times out of the year. Because thats the last thing I want, to be bored while driving! Who says being green has to be dull?
