Even if the volt turns out to be a great deal, if you don't have a garage you can't plug it in. Unless you want electrical cords outside your condo/apartment, thanks alot for thinking that through engineers lol. I guess you have to buy a house with a garage if you want this car. In china they have an electric car that you can charge by remote, these american engineers need to do some research then build a car which EVERYONE can buy

So an electric drifting car with equal acceleration between gears huh. What happens when I crash it? Do the batteries shock me AND produce toxic fumes?

I wont see any need to make a test like this one... Volt wont surpass 10 or 20 miles per hour... Even if Volt was shaped like a retangle or a cube, wont make any difference!!! I never able to find a video showing Volt in a real run. Only like a golf car !!!!
I have a DVD with 38 videos showing EV1. Some was made by myself 1n 1996.
In one of them, EV1 starts betwen a Saturn and another car i do not remmember rigth now,and surpass the two.
We cant saw Volt running faster than a Lawn-mower or a golf car ... Other fact is that GM is based on a ridiculous estatistic or a parameter thath regular driver runs only 40 mile a day !!! Any person that knows Los Angeles, São Paulo, Mexico City, knows that is absolutely normal runs 40 of 50 miles to get the work. I live in Belo Horizonte, Brazil , a city with around estimated population around 5.397.438 inhabitants in 2008 http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Região_Metropolitana_de_Belo_Horizonte
and i have to comply 34,8 miles to get to the work(around 62 KM)and anoter 7 miles to get in the college, every day. I live in a condo around my city. Bigger cities , have bigger distances.

The aerodynamics are amazing, great looks at the same time. I own a Prius and the biggest objection from others is it's looks. The styling of the Volt will appeal to many more consumers.

Its great to see the aero tests. I have some more questions

1) I see in some frames the aero is not going just over , but air is going in a curved shape - do this means that volt can use that space without any air drag ?

2) In some shots it shows from the front the air flows to top. The question is how much backward/downward pull that air offers because its not only about the air flow paths but the pull/push are creates in any direction.

Very interesting! I imagine it isn't easy to make an eficient body that looks good, too ... but you've done it with the VOLT.
